Seventh Fire’s Alternative Education Program offers flexible, student-centered learning for those working toward their Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Certificate (OSSC). We recognize that not all students thrive in traditional settings—our approach supports academic, social, emotional, and mental well-being through personalized learning plans.
Students can choose from:
- In-person classroom instruction
- Online/at-home study
- Land-based learning experiences
- Co-op and OYAP (trades/apprenticeship) opportunities
- Supervised Alternative Learning (SAL)
- Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR)

Grades 7 & 8 | Tailored, Hands-On Learning
The Seventh Fire Bridge Program is a student-centered learning space designed for Grade 7 and 8 students who benefit from small class sizes, personalized support, and real-world learning.
Our program includes:
- Full Ontario Grade 7 & 8 Curriculum
- In-class instruction, online options, and land-based excursions
- Learning through cultural connection, experience, and inquiry
- A wellness-focused school day schedule
